However, the validity of screening methods in the adolescent population requires further study. The 2-item Patient Health Questionnaire (PHQ-2) is a widely used depression-screening tool, particularly in primary care settings. We hypothesized that there are distinguishing symptoms differentiating depressed patients with positive PHQ-2 screening from those with negative PHQ-2 screening. |
