Summary:The main objective of this study is to analyze anti-diarrheal activities of Abelmoscous esculentus. Phytochemical screening showed that Abelmoscous esculentus contain alkaloid, carbohydrate, saponines, diterpene, phytosterol, proteins and gums. Crude ethanolic extract of Abelmoscous esculentus seeds showed maximum (90.91%) anti-diarrheal activities whereas n-hexane soluble fraction and chloroform soluble fraction showed same (81.82%) anti-diarrheal activities which are much higher than the standard Loperamide (63.64%).
