Summary:Cover: The conceptual scheme shows the lipase‐catalyzed green chemical recycling of biodegradable polyesters and the equipment for the continuous enzymatic degradation of biodegradable polyesters, using the enzyme column. The typical chemically‐synthesized biodegradable plastics, such as poly(butylene adipate) and poly( ε ‐caprolactone), were degraded and transformed quantitatively into a repolymerizable cyclic oligomer passing through the enzyme packed column under continuous flow. And it was confirmed that the degradation activity of the enzyme column was maintained for at least six months at 40 °C. Further details can be found in the Full Paper by Y. Osanai, K. Toshima, and S. Matsumura * on page 936.
