Summary:— The paper reports screening of new winter wheat growth regulators belonging to pyrazolopyridine derivatives, among which compounds with statistically significant growth-stimulating effect have been identified. The potential growth regulators in 3-year field trials (2019–2021) involving Bezostaya 100 winter wheat variety were tested. It was demonstrated that the application of the studied substances contributed to more productive tillering and larger leaf surface and, as a consequence, increased respiratory and photosynthetic activity. A positive effect of the studied compounds on the growth and development of the crop structure forming organs was also observed. The yield increase associated with the use of growth regulators was 12.5–14.8%, with a simultaneous improvement of grain quality. An increase in plant resistance to adverse environmental conditions was observed as well.
