Summary:The main aim of the present study was to estimate the fertilization parameters in male rats by using methanolic leaf extract of Walsura Piscidia. The animals were divided into three groups of five animals each. The first group (I) served as control and received normal saline remaining Groups (II & III) were treated with plant extract at a dose of 200 & 400 mg/kg p.o. Respectively for a period of 21 days. Dose-dependent significant decrease in the weight of testes & epididymis was observed. Also, a dose-related reduction in sperm count and motility was observed. In conclusion, the methanolic leaf extract of Walsura Piscidia has produced dose-dependent antifertility effect o male rats.
