Summary:Nowadays the work of the nursing professional has taken a strong range of growth, although it is true that we have to base everything on the scientific foundation, it is necessary to mention that nursing has a long way to go. In the present work, a critical and reflexive analysis of the importance of the role that the nursing staff performs from the moment blood is obtained until its final disposal is carried out. The objective of this work is to highlight the importance of nursing care in this transfusion process, from collection to final disposal. The articles mentioned here were searched in a scientific database with the purpose of analyzing, reflecting and deepening their content, in order to address the aforementioned topic.
