Summary:The classroom action research was to increase the self regulated learning (SRL) and the understanding toward research methodology in the Postgraduate Study Program. The participants who had been involved in the study were 19 postgraduate students in the project-based learning (PjBL). The projects of students were blogs for representing their understanding toward the research methodology by means of articles and a researchproposal. The classroom action research used of Khemis & MacTaggart model was conducted in two cycles. The researcher performed the data analysis by implementing the mixed methods qualitatively and the data analysis would be supported by the quantitative analysis. The results of the study showed that after finishing the course, in addition to gaining knowledge regarding the research method, through the project-based learning the postgraduate students had also been able to compose research proposal. The other advantages are the project-based learning might rehearse the students’ communication skills using blog and had been able to increase the self-regulated learning.
