Summary:The lateral leakage current poses a challenge to achieving high color fidelity in high‐resolution OLED displays. We propose a method to extract a relative amount of leakage component by decomposing the chromaticity value measured by a display color analyzer with the luminance of red, green, and blue color without direct measurement of the leakage current. Through the use of optical measurement and a compensation algorithm, the lateral leakage components are eliminated from each original pixel's gray level, thereby achieving an exact luminance level. The experiment shows that the color accuracy is improved from 8.23 to 0.64 after compensation.
