P‐184: Novel pixel design for improve color shift of UV2A mode

Skin color shift in side view of UV2A mode is a challenging problem since the dark line is wider than other VA mode. In this paper, several factors such as various methods for 8 domain driving, resistant ratio and area ratio of sub to main pixel were fully discussed. Finally, novel pixel design was...

Summary:Skin color shift in side view of UV2A mode is a challenging problem since the dark line is wider than other VA mode. In this paper, several factors such as various methods for 8 domain driving, resistant ratio and area ratio of sub to main pixel were fully discussed. Finally, novel pixel design was proposed in this paper with CR (80/20) =50% (θ=30°, φ=0°) which is 25% higher than traditional UV2A mode. The skin color shift level is competitive with the traditional 8 domain UV2A mode.
