Summary:The paper is concerned with the specifics of a class of on-board terminal control systems meeting high requirements to control accuracy and reliability. A general design problem recognizing the specifics of this class is posed. Physical fundamentals of high control performance on-board terminal systems are defined and methods of solution for a number of practically relevant cases are described. Some results of application of the principles and methods discussed for improving the characteristics of a typical system are given.
