Summary:The paper is concerned with ways of improving the power characteristics of liquid-propellant missiles through rational fuel consumption. Two goals should be attained: the basic problems for the on-board systems of maneuvering orientation control, etc. should be solved so as to minimize the necessary fuel capacity, and the energy contained in the on-board fuel stores should be used to the fullest possible extent with the help of special-purpose control systems. Certain methods of the on-board terminal control systems design for fuel consumption control are briefly described.
