Summary:The Argonautica contain names of people and hero names, but also many place names. In Greek, names of people and place are often accompanied by derivatives in -ῐδ ... (-ῐδ- or -ῐδᾱ-), but the addition of the suffix can create a word that does not fit into the hexameter. The purpose of the paper is to see which morphological or phonetic processes were used by Apollonius Rhodius to adapt these derivatives to the constraints of the hexameter. I study the absence of contraction (Ἀνθεμοεισις), the diffusion of an infix -η- (Βρυγηΐς, Δολοπηΐς, Πελοπηΐς) and the alternation between -ιδ- and -ιαδ- (Ἀχερουσίς / Ἀχερουσιάς).
