Summary: | In the conditions of market relations and improvement of management, development of a new strategy for the development of organizations, the role and importance of investments is increasing. Investments are of decisive importance for ensuring sustainable economic growth, increasing production efficiency and the overall level of economic development of both enterprises and the state. “Economic assessment of investments” is an academic discipline that systemizes theoretical, methodological and practical principles, knowledge and skills that make it possible to identify and scientifically substantiate the economic assessment of investment projects, determining the directions for making management decisions at different levels. A textbook for the discipline “Economic assessment of investments” is an integral part of economic science. Based on legislative acts, regulations, economic doctrines and evaluation disciplines, on extensive practical domestic and foreign experience, it examines the fundamental principles of the effectiveness of investment projects, the theoretical aspects of calculating overall efficiency, and assessing risk factors. The textbook, prepared by the team of authors, examines the issues of economic evaluation of investments and determining the effectiveness of measures proposed by students, provides various methods for assessing risks and methods for finding indicators of the effectiveness of investment projects.
