How frequently should basic cardiopulmonary resuscitation training be repeated to maintain adequate skills?

A study was conducted to assess how different intervals between reinstructions affect the maintenance of the basic skills of CPR. Results indicate that reinstruction at six monthly intervals is sufficient to maintain adequate skills in CPR.
