Summary:After Myanmar military coup on 1 February 2021, medical professionals and other government staff went on strike, joining the civil disobedience movement (CDM).1 The junta’s security forces brutally suppressed CDM doctors and nurses providing voluntary medical services in the community even during the third wave of the COVID-19 pandemic.2–4 Medical university boards and professional bodies were replaced by promilitary persons.
