Summary: | Correspondence to Dr Ryan Vincent William Endersby, Anesthesia, Perioperative and Pain Medicine, University of Calgary Cumming School of Medicine, Calgary, AB T3M1M4, Canada; ryan.endersby@gmail.com To the Editor We read with interest the daring discourse by Siddiqui et al.1 In this article they describe a new technique to potentially increase the safety of the supraclavicular brachial plexus block by injecting on either side of the middle trunk while still maintaining its efficacy. [...]is the observation that injection of local anesthetic occupies some degree of volume in the body and can result in deeper structures being pushed downward with a superficial injection. Funding The authors have not declared a specific grant for this research from any funding agency in the public, commercial or not-for-profit sectors. |
