At weeks six, 12 and 24, owners and veterinary surgeons were asked to rate a number of osteoarthritic features in the dogs: owners scored animals as either 1 Better, 2 About the same, or 3 Worse; vets performed a physical examination, scoring clinical signs on a five-point scale.
