| Summary: | Using the qualitative case study research design, this thesis examines marine policy and marine environmental management system with regard to fisheries, waste disposal and pollution, as well as marine environmental protection and conservation. Management tools have been used to evaluate government's organisation and legislation, human resources, policy development, technical management, implementation and enforcement. The model of a marine policy and environmental management is established in the findings. Further, this research is an applied study, with outcomes of practical value in dealing with the issues concerned. |
