Effects of Aqueous Al, Cd, Cu, Fe(II), Ni, and Zn on Pb Immobilization by Hydroxyapatite

The effects of various metals on lead immobilization by hydroxyapatite and the reaction products and mechanisms are examined. The results show that hydroxyapatite has the potential to be used for in situ immobilization of lead in lead contaminated soils and wastes.
