Sorption of Pentachlorophenol to HDTMA-Clay as a Function of Ionic Strength and pH

It is shown that the sorption and solubility of the protonated and deprotonated species of hydrophobic ionizable organic compounds are significantly different and must be considered when evaluating their environmental fate and transport.
