Summary:This study is aiming to examine the impact of Think Pair Share (TPS) training model towards improving new University students' achievement. The group sample was from the second semester of management students. The authors added group active learning stage to the current TPS training model and the study discovered considerable effects of the TPS on developing new Libyan university students' competencies supporting them with the required teaching methods. By analysing students' exams results and feedback, four prominent skills were identified also further analyses and evaluation brought to light how important the case is to include TPS training model in other subjects. The used methodology was qualitative according to the research nature supported with direct observation and the authors believe that more studies are still needed in this regard for better higher education quality assurance.
