Effects of Polar and Nonpolar Groups on the Solubility of Organic Compounds in Soil Organic Matter

It is shown that the solubility of organic solutes in soil organic matter is greatly enhanced by polar interaction and hydrogen bonding because of the polar nature of soil organic matter.
