Synthesis and Conformational and Biological Aspects of Carbasugars

In carbasugars, a series of derivations occurr in which the ring oxygen of a monosaccharide has been replaced by a methylene group. The synthesis as well as the conformational and biological aspects of the sugars are reviewed.
