Fluid inclusions in rock-forming minerals of ultrahigh-pressure metamorphic rocks (Kokchetav massif, Northern Kazakhstan)

Summary:A study presents original data on the composition of fluid inclusions in garnets and clinopy roxenes from high pressure garnetclinopyroxene rocks of the Kokchetav massif (Northern Kazakh stan). The presence of secondary fluid inclusions in fractures cutting all growth zones of garnet crystals provides evidence for the fact that hydrous fluid played an important role in one of the final stages of retrograde metamorphism.
