Probing the Metal-Ion-Binding Strength of the Hydroxyl Group

A study that examined the metal-ion-binding strength of the hydroxyl group is discussed. The study found that the hydroxyl group is brought close to the metal ion by the riginity resulting from the glycinate-type binding.
