Summary: | Three new species are described from misidentified collections of New Zealand polypore fungi. Postia globicystidia sp. nov. is characterised by globular cystidial elements arising from generative hyphae. Diplomitoporus cunninghamii sp. nov. has a pseudo-dimitic hyphal system, allantoid spores, and effused-reflexed basidiocarps. Polyporus septosporus sp. nov. is characterised by occasionally septate basidiospores, with 1-3 septa, and basidiocarp tissue staining red in KOH. Inonotus chondromyelus is newly recorded from New Zealand. All but Postia globicystidia also occur in Australia. |
