Determination of Peroxyacetic Acid Using High-Performance Liquid Chromatography with External Calibration

A new method for the determination of peroxyacetic acid (PAA) in aqueous solutions is described. Methyl p-tolyl sulfide is oxidized by PAA, forming the corresponding methyl p-tolyl sulfoxide.
