Determination of Alachlor and Its Sulfonic Acid Metabolite in Water by Solid-Phase Extraction and Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay

A technique for eluting alachlor and its metabolite sequentially from a solid-phase extraction cartridge before performing an enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay is described. Evidence shows widespread occurrence of ethane-sulfonic acid in surface and ground water in the Midwest.
