Observation of microscopically local electron-transfer kinetics with scanning electrochemical microscopy

The use of scanning electrochemical microscopy in the generator-collector mode to obtain spatially resolved information about electron-transfer kinetics is described. The effect of diffusion of the generated species on the quality of the information obtained is presented.
