Summary:Field survey of the volume activity of radon in soil air over kimberlite pipes of the Zolotitsky field of the Arkhangelsk diamondiferous province was carried out. In the course of the emanometric survey, it was found that kimberlite pipes are distinguished by the sub-circular anomalies of radon activity, exceeding the background values by 4 to 48 times. The most pronounced radon anomalies are formed in the space near the pipes, in which the development of increased fracturing zones is typical, creating favorable conditions for radon migration towards the surface. The revealed regularities in the variations of radon activity create good prerequisites for the further development of the emanometric method for the search for kimberlite bodies.
