Vapor–Liquid Equilibria, Density, Sound Velocity, and Refractive Index for Binary Mixtures Containing 2‑(2-Ethoxyethoxy)ethanol and 1‑Propanol or 2‑Propanol or 1-Butanol or 2-Butanol at Different Temperatures

In this work, we have reported the vapor liquid equilibria (VLE) data for the binary mixtures containing {2-(2-ethoxyethoxy)ethanol (1) + 1-propanol, 2-propanol, 1-butanol, or 2-butanol (2)}. All the VLE measurements were conducted at temperatures ranging between (273.15 to 363.15) K over the whole...

Summary:In this work, we have reported the vapor liquid equilibria (VLE) data for the binary mixtures containing {2-(2-ethoxyethoxy)ethanol (1) + 1-propanol, 2-propanol, 1-butanol, or 2-butanol (2)}. All the VLE measurements were conducted at temperatures ranging between (273.15 to 363.15) K over the whole composition range. The NRTL and UNIQUAC models were used to correlate the VLE experimental data. Furthermore, experimental measurements of densities, sound velocities, and refractive indices were measured for aforementioned binary mixtures at atmospheric pressure and at T = (293.15, 303.15, 313.15, and 323.15) K. By utilizing the experimental results, the excess/deviation functions were calculated and fitted to the Redlich–Kister polynomial equation.
