Friedel−Crafts Acylation of Chromium-Carbene-Complex-Derived Ketenes

Photolysis of chromium alkoxycarbene complexes containing electron-rich aromatic systems on either the oxygen or carbon group of the carbene carbon resulted in intramolecular Friedel−Crafts acylation of the arene.
