Volumetric and Transport Properties of Binary Mixtures of n‑Octane + Ethanol, + 1‑Propanol, + 1‑Butanol, and + 1‑Pentanol from (293.15 to 323.15) K at Atmospheric Pressure

We present densities and dynamic viscosities of binary mixtures of n-octane with ethanol, 1-propanol, 1-butanol, and 1-pentanol. Measurements are performed at atmospheric pressure from (293.15 to 323.15) K using a vibrating-tube densimeter and three Cannon–Fenske viscosimeters. We have calculated th...

Summary:We present densities and dynamic viscosities of binary mixtures of n-octane with ethanol, 1-propanol, 1-butanol, and 1-pentanol. Measurements are performed at atmospheric pressure from (293.15 to 323.15) K using a vibrating-tube densimeter and three Cannon–Fenske viscosimeters. We have calculated the excess molar volumes and the viscosity deviations from the experimental measurements. Results have been correlated to Redlich–Kister type equations.
