Summary:The analysis of aerial photographs (of several missions) coupled with the study of heavy minerals made it possible to show the shoreline changes, to reconstitute the dynamics of the various sedimentary environments of the Saïdia littoral and to underline the factors, the hydrological and hydrodynamic processes which control this Mediterranean coastline. The study of heavy minerals provided indications on the origin of the sediments, the lithology of the catchment supplier area, and made it possible to put two morphosedimentary sectors obvious on both sides of the mouth of Moulouya. The morphodynamic evolution of each one of these two sectors results from the interactions between the natural factors and the impact from the installations carried out on this littoral and in the Moulouya catchment.
