| Abstract_FL | SWOT analysis is used to systematically examine strengths(S),weaknesses(W),opportunities(O)and threats(T)of Quanzhou County,Guangxi in geological relic landscape tourism development and utilization.After that,AHP is employed to construct the geological relic landscape tourism development and utilization hier-archical structural index system and judgment matrix,which is used to work out the weight of every factor.The SWOT strategic quadrilateral is drawn.The strategic direction for the geological relic landscape tourism develop-ment and utilization of Quanzhou County is identified.The results show that strengths,opportunities,weaknes-ses and threats of Quanzhou County in geological relic landscape tourism development and utilization can be ar-ranged in the order of weight as below:strengths>opportunities>weaknesses>threats.Among various indexes,the biggest strengths are the high development potential of characteristic tourism and the large number of poten-tial tourism development resources.The major weaknesses include incomplete tourism infrastructure,inadequate development funds and outstanding environmental protection issues.Tourism policies and tourism market are critical opportunities.The threat of tourism activities to the lifespan of resources and the competition of the tourism industry are the greatest challenges.In the SWOT strategic quadrilateral,SSO>SST>SWO>SWT.Based on this result,the growth-oriented SO strategy is identified for the geologic relic landscape tourism development and utilization of Quanzhou County.Specifically,efforts should first be made to explore the characteristic resources and develop characteristic tourism products.Second,tourism resources should be integrated to construct a holis-tic tourism model.Third,tourism brands should be created and the intensity of publication should be strength-ened.Fourth,tourism infrastructure construction can be expanded to improve the quality of tourism service.Fifth,more emphasis should be laid on the development of geological tourism talents.Sixth,participation of community residents should be enhanced.Seventh,awareness of protection should be strengthened through pro-tective development of geological relic landscape.Last but not least,investments should be attracted with finan-cing channels broadened. |
