Sound Transit still hasn't said how it would pay to extend Seattle-area light rail beyond a planned southern terminus just shy of the airport. Sims said there are several options, none of which require extra federal help. "Agreement in principle" is the technical name for the document signed Wednesday by Sound Transit executive director Joni Earl and port CEO Mic Dinsmore. The final two sentences of the agreement show that it is not the final word on a route for bringing light rail to the airport:
