But Stacy will serve 10 years' probation as part of a plea agreement, prosecutor Michael Sinacore said. Sinacore struggled over how to proceed with the case. Stacy originally was charged with manslaughter due to aggravated child abuse, which carries up to 30 years in prison. But Stacy did not intentionally leave [Tyrese] in the van, she just forgot he was there, her attorney said. County workers had warned Stacy to keep a log of children at the day care center and to look through the van after dropping off children. Last month, Sinacore reduced the charge to aggravated child neglect, which carries a maximum sentence of 15 years in prison. Sinacore said Tyrese's family did not agree with the plea agreement.
