On a low visibility, hazy day in southern California, I launched out of NAS North Island as the co-pilot of a four-person crew on a search and rescue (SAR) training flight. Due to the training my crew chief received and his ability to talk me back onto the controls, we were able to survive this situation and come back home safely. |
