Abstract Deep text explorations will require the school librarians to guide evaluation of the located documents and continue the conversación to answer such questions as, "Who is the authority?" "What is the social or historic context for this information?" "What new names and events found here lead to additional relevant documents?" Googles Search Education Lesson Plans provides specific strategies related to the CCSS. Just as in college, future high school e-texts will include features such as: *On-demand printing to save resources and dollars * Links to selected primary documents for detailed analysis directly from the e-text to the Internet * Links to relevant documents and studies that provide a variety of viewpoints purposefully selected to stimulate critical analysis and debate *Functions for lecture notes shared by the instructor to all students, and vice versa * Links to relevant multimedia, including video presentations from teachers and professors from other schools for enhancement of the text * Various options for different text levels that may serve to accelerate some students to more advanced discussions or provide explanations for those who are trailing behind While there may be a new demand for quality historical nonfiction and updated collections in science in order to meet CCSS, instructional products that take the student to relevant documents for critical review are more likely to be offered as a part of that product, not as additional resources in the school library.
