Summary:With millions of dollars in tourism revenue at stake, the cities of Hamilton, Windsor, Ottawa, London and Thunder Bay have launched extensive promotional and lobbying campaigns aimed at persuading Commonwealth Games officials to hold the competition in their respective backyards. In Hamilton, organizers of that city's bid are confident of their chances of bringing the 1994 Commonwealth Games back home after 64 years. The city's 1994 Commonwealth Games Task Force has entered into an agreement with the Windsor and District Labor Council and the Windsor Building Trades Council to ensure labor harmony during construction of facilities for the games.
