Members of the South African Students' Congress (Sasco) and other students clapped and waved placards which condemned high residence fees, poor maintenance in residences and which accused CPUT's management of favouring profit and cost-cutting over students' needs. "If our demands are not met, we will explore other avenues. The vice-chancellor is actually scared of students, she doesn't care. We'll bring this campus to a standstill if we have to," he said. |
