Initial hookups will be in North Pownal, Pownal Center and the southern sections of town, he said, and later hookups will be primarily in the eastern sections, as sewer line and pump station work progresses. With plant operator Darcy Pruden on board as of May 1, initial testing was conducted using water pumped from the river, Prouty said.
