| Abstract | A shot like this takes a bit of patience in India, because you have to deal with everyone's curiosity. At first the crowd all wanted to stand in front of the camera and wave, so I just had to wait until they'd got it out of their system. Eventually they were distracted by a Mexican Wave, and I got the shot I wanted. I've been on tour with the Aussie cricket team 12 times now, and Sri Lanka's probably my favourite venue. It's interesting culturally, but less frenetic, like India on Valium really. For this picture I used my Canon EOS-1D Mark II digital rated at 200 ASA with a 24-70mm f2.8 lens, shooting at 1/1,000th of a second at f9. |
