Abstract   While other parts of the state were hit hard by rain, hail and strong winds, downtown Santa Fe received about .45 inches of rain by 6 p.m. Tuesday, lifting the year-to-date total to 8.2 inches. At Santa Fe Municipal Airport, .57 inches of rain fell. Meanwhile, snow fell in the Sangre de Cristo Mountains. Santa Fe police said Tuesday that the rain did not cause extra problems on the city's roads. There were, however, three accidents on Interstate 25 and one on N.M. 63 in Pecos that appeared to be weather related, State Police Lt. Jimmy Glascock. Injuries resulted from two of the accidents, but Glascock said none was serious. 1. Jordan Rice and his dog, Ruby, hike up the ski basin Tuesday afternoon. Rice planned to ski if enough snow accumulated on the mountain. 2. A truck driving along Camino Carlos Real crosses the Santa Fe River on Tuesday afternoon. The day's rain caused the river to rise.
