Police in Peel and the neighbouring regions of Toronto and Halton were told to watch for the vehicle. Authorities later found Mrs. Candir's husband at his home. Police would not say whether a weapon was recovered. "As soon as police arrived, the school went into lockdown and then we assembled the tactical units -- just as a precaution, to make sure the students were safe," said Constable Craig Platt, of Peel Regional Police.
