Summary:The plans were unveiled as GWR reported a 63 per cent drop in pre- tax profits, down to GBP 7.7 million before one-off costs in the year to 31 March, from GBP 20.7 million in the same period a year ago. The group also recorded a sharp 7.2 per cent fall in like-for- like advertising revenues across GWR's 33 UK radio stations last year. Group turnover edged up to GBP 128.4 million from GBP 127.2 million. A GBP 10 million write-down of European assets contributed to one- off costs, which meant GWR made bottom-line losses of GBP 15.1 million in the year.
