| Abstract | Louis Aguiar, 31, told Superior Court Justice Eugene Fedak his side view of westbound lanes was blocked by a dark Pontiac Firebird travelling nearly in tandem with his own vehicle. When the Firebird driver slammed on the brakes, Aguiar caught a glimpse of something in front of the other car, but there was little or no time to react. In the next instant, 36-year-old cyclist Timothy Ekelman struck the windshield of Aguiar's convertible, causing it to shatter and cave in on his head and dash. Aguiar also took exception to [Todd Norman]'s characterization of his Mustang convertible as a "muscle car." |
