Simplify policies, S. Korean investors urge Malaysia

SEOUL, Sun: Trade between Malaysia and South Korea has grown tremendously over the years but some South Korean investors are complaining that there is still a lack of transparency at some of Malaysia's investing governing institutions. "We are not saying that there is a problem of red tapes in Malaysia, but it would be rather encouraging for South Korean investors to go to Malaysia if they get fast approval in processing application and other documents," he told Business Times here. [Lee Suk] also said that South Korean industrial policy gives special attention to countries like Malaysia whose economic development offers and guarantees multiple returns to any kind of investment. Somehow, he cautioned that Malaysia should simplify some regulations in order to facilitate and encourage more foreign capital inflow to the country.
