Abstract | It is known, that aluminium-nickel bronzes have high cavitation-erosion resistance. It is especially the case with bronzes containing 11-14% Al, which are usable in restoring worn-out components of hydraulic machines, ship propellers, etc. The analysis of sporadic publications demonstrates, that one of the much-promising approaches to optimizing the chemical composition of Al-Ni bronzes with the aim to increase their cavitation wear resistance and to reduce the cost is additional titanium alloying. But at present no sufficiently detailed information is available on the cavitation-erosion resistance of Al-Ni-Ti bronzes and its relation to their microstructure, mechanichal properties and microvolume fracture pattern. The given article is devoted to this issue. Bronzes BrA11N1, BrA15N2T, BrA12N3T, BrA14N2T, and BrA15N2 are considered. |
