Summary:Na2O-Al2O3-CaO-MgO-TiO2-SiO2 solid-solid phase equilibriums were determined in synthetic mixtures, bauxites of the Halimba deposit and red muds formed in the Bayer processing of the bauxites. The interaction of CaO, MgO and dolomite with aluminate solutions at 210 C, in the presence of Si02 and TiO2 gave the compounds: Ca(OH)2, 3CaO.Al2O3.6H2O, 3CaO.Al2O3.kSiO2(6-2k)H2O, CaTiO3, Ca3Al2O6, CaAl2O4, Mg(OH)2, Mg6Al2CO3(OH)15.4H2O, Mg4Al2(Al2Si2)O10(OH)8, MgAl2O4, Ca(Mg,Al) titanate, CaCO3, MgCO3, (Mg,Ca)CO3, 3(Na2O.Al2O3.2SiO2).Na2X, anatase, Na20.3TiO2.nH2O, NaCa2Mg5Si7AlO22F, Na2O.8CaO.3Al2O3.5SiO2, MgTiO3 and Mg2Al4Si5O18. The relative proportion of the compounds depended mostly on the components soluble in the aluminate solution.--CA.
